About Us

Gentle process,
π–₯Έ deep healing

Our heart for therapy is to make it as kind, gentle, and reverent as possible. The more you learn to trust your body, your personal needs, and your inner wisdom to lead the way at their own pace, the more transformative, restorative, and lasting the work is. We help you develop that sense of trust as you work through your stuff. And we’ve got your back on figuring out practical accommodations for your current reality, too.

π–₯Έ You are welcome to let us know if you feel drawn to or want to avoid any particular therapy modalities or practices - and you definitely don’t have to come in knowing what to ask for.

π–₯Έ Your therapeutic experience is yours and yours alone, and we will help you attune to your needs and offer the support that feels right to you.

π–₯Έ Therapy is always a matter of the right β€œmedicine,” at the right dose, at the right time. What’s worked for others or for you in the past may be ineffective or even detrimental today.

π–₯Έ Attunement to you, right in the moment, is the standard we’re after, and one of the main skills we hope you take away from your therapy process with us.

π–₯Έ Acknowledgement

We love constantly learning. And it’s important to us to humbly and gratefully acknowledge that all the modalities we’ve learned have taken (sometimes borrowed, often stolen) from so many indigenous cultures, wisdoms, histories, and spiritualities throughout the entire world.

It’s also important to us to acknowledge how harmful mental health care structures and procedures have been and continue to be for many, even in the current rules and conventions of our own profession in which we operate.

We view the work we do together as sacred. In sharing your story and experiences with us, you are allowing us onto sacred ground; your sacred space matters, we revere it, and we feel honored to work with you.

We have sought to create a nurturing and supportive environment to hold space for this work. In doing this work we very much acknowledge that the space we have cultivated here inhabits a commercial office building cut into the beautiful stolen hills and valleys of Yuchi/Cherokee/Shawnee territory (you can read a well-documented history of Middle Tennessee land in Public Library Association’s 2020 conference land acknowledgement).
